Victoria Jane Peck, known as Vicky Peck, passed away before her time at the age of 41. She died of secondary breast cancer, peacefully in her sleep on 25th December 2020 at home in Leeds with her husband by her side.

She was born in Sheffield, where she grew up and went to school at High Storrs. She received her degree in Communications and Philosophy from Leeds University in 2000.

Vicky leaves behind her loving husband, James Peck who she married on 4th August 2006. They met and fell in love at university and were a couple for over half of her life. Friends would bring their new partners to meet Vicky and James as an example of what they wished their relationship to become.

She also leaves behind her mother and father, Sheila MacNeil and Graham Farrant (Fred), her brother, Alex Farrant and sister, Lucy Moss. She was also a much-loved aunty to her brother’s children Henry, Thomas and Hannah and to Lucy’s boys Charlie and Toby.

Vicky’s kindness and openness allowed her to really see and appreciate the world, have a positive impact, absorb and pass on knowledge and leave a lasting impression on those around her.

As an artwork packaging specialist for Bettys and Taylors of Harrogate, Vicky was passionate about the positive impact that the company was having. She would often enlighten friends, family and strangers alike with what the company was doing and provide trivia on tea and coffee. She accepted an invitation to speak at a world leading print industry event, drupa 2020, before COVID-19 arrived and the cancellation of this due to COVID-19 was a disappointment but the invitation was a testament to the respect that she had gained in the industry.

In her personal life, Vicky was the life of the party with an infectious smile. An avid supporter and fan of music, she was often found at the front of gigs singing, dancing and raising the mood of those around her. Her support for bands was wide and generous and those who benefited cherish what she did for them. Three songs were commissioned and contain her name. She leaves behind holes in the “gig family” and the local community music group “Music From The Attic”, a brilliant venture where people get together to make live music, where she will be dearly missed

She also loved to travel around the world with James, taking in art and culture, meeting and engaging with local people and enjoying the local cuisine. Her favourite destinations included Thailand, Japan and Italy and people globally will mourn her loss.
